| NW JRGT Mini-Tour General Information
Frequently Asked Questions
NW JRGT Mini-Tour Facts:
* Open to boys and girls in grades K-6
* Divisions: K-1, 2-3, 4-5 & 6
* Tournaments are 18 holes for Grade 2-3, 4-5 & 6 divisions, 9 holes
for K-1 division
* Courses: Par 3 and executive courses in Puget Sound region
* Entry fee includes green fee and in some cases a small tee prize
* merchandise award prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each division,
as in other JRGT events
* Caddies are allowed (and required for the K-1 & 2-3 age groups)
* Gallery, such as friends and family, are encouraged to come out and
support the players
The mission of the NW JRGT Mini-Tour is to provide children
with the following opportunities:
* Learn to appreciate and enjoy competitive golf
* Develop tournament golf skills in a competitive but supportive environment
* Prepare for future participation in tournament golf (e.g. JRGT, WJGA)
* For those with advanced skills, build experience and qualifications
for entry into regional, national or international competitions
The NW JRGT Mini-Tour is designed for children who:
* Are capable of playing at least nine holes of golf (under adult supervision)
* Understand the basic rules of the game
* Are interested in participating in tournament golf with children of
similar abilities and interest
